With the opening of its new library in 2010 Dendermonde acquired a pearl of modern architecture. The multifunctional building houses a modern library with a large and up-to-date collection of books - also available digitally - magazines, films and music. Read, relax or daydream in the café and garden. Exhibitions are staged, workshops are organized and lectures are given in the multi-media Polyvalent Room. The library is surrounded by a beautifully designed prairie garden.
